Hello my family! Surprise! I'm alive and well! Sorry it's taken me so long to email all of you, but I've finally gotten my entire family on a regular schedule I think and I should be able to slip in weekly updates on a more regular schedule!
Let's see, where do I start! Michael is in the 3rd grade and doing very well! He received his wolf badge at the last pack meeting, and will start going to the bear den after his birthday next week! Dustin has been studying all the states and capitols and their spellings for weeks now! He knows them all but the spelling can get a little tricky sometimes! Last pack meeting he received his webelos badge, and he has earned his arrow of light, but the scoutmaster decided to wait till October's pack meeting to give it to him! So even though he's 11 and in Boy scouts now, he gets to go to one more cub scout pack meeting so he can get his arrow of light!( The coolest part of this for him, is that he gets a REAL arrow! Let's just hope it doesn't end up poking someone's eye out! Amanda is 12 going on 21! She's an emotional pre-teen who cries when anyone looks cross eyed at her and she thinks she knows EVERYTHING! She also thinks she's the boss around here, and she And I butt heads constantly! I love her dearly even though she's driving me NUTS!
I guess there's some reality to the mother's curse huh? Brandon is believe it or not a very pleasant yet typical 15 yr old! He has stopped wearing hoods and hoodies all together. He visits with me and Loren all the time and talks non stop about all he's accomplishing in his computer programming and desktop publishing courses! He is doing extremely well in all of his courses in school, does his homework and chores without being nagged and is the family's source of entertainment! He's getting pretty good at playing his guitar, and has taught himself everything he knows! Oh, and don't tell Loren I told you but he's only about an inch or two shorter then Loren now! He's about the same height as me! I'm not looking forward to looking up to tell my son to go clean his room! Any pointers Ruthie?!? Loren's job is going really well! He's very happy with this company, and the $ is good! I've cut back to only lunch shifts except for 1 weekend night a week! (Either Saturday or Sunday) Things are going really well for the whole family! I've got to say I'm really lucky to be able to be home every day when the kids get home from school to assist them with homework and to cook a real dinner every night!(Something I didn't think I'd be able to do) They've all grown so much lately, and look so healthy! The only complaint is from Loren, and he thinks he's getting fat from all the home cooking! I think he's just getting healthier, cause in my opinion he was too thin! We keep all of you in our family prayers every night, and love and miss you all! I know we're planning on California for Christmas, so maybe we can get together with the Bushes and Riches for Thanksgiving or after Christmas on our way back from Cali, like we've done before? Let me know what you've got going on! Know that I love and miss you all, but also know that I am doing super good! I don't see or talk to Billy, which I know is the case for all of you! I also don't have the cell phone any more. (long story) So until Loren and I can find a reasonable cell phone plan you'll have to call me at home! (435) 755-5868 weeknights are the best time to reach me, but we've got scouts on tuesdays and wednesdays, and mutual on thursdays, and Loren and I try to have a date night on fridays and don't forget family home evening on mondays! I though I would give you an update on Corinne and her work etc. Dr Sheerer-Depp (Who now has dropped the "Depp") has left the county for Australia. That has made a great change in the amount of stress Corinne lives with. Corinne worked from about 630 am to around 10Pm every day the week before Dr Sheerer left. Corinne really misses her to. It will be nice in two years when the Doc returns and they are simply friends.
Corinne interviewed again for the position at the Urgent care center (Thats code for little hospital) and it went really well. Only two out of 9 of the Docs showed up however due to scheduling conflicts. But on the positive side, the discussion was more like an introduction to what problems they will be fixing together. Following the interview they scheduled a lunch with the staff that Corinne would be in charge of. I dont think they would schedule a lunch for her to meet them unless they inteneded to extend a job offer. However, as of this moment they have not extended an official offer.
I have not seen it anywhere else on the blog so I hope Im not out of place in telling you this. But Don qualified for the Boston Marathon. Isnt that cool! Im sure they had to have told you by now but I though it was neat.
Sam has moved into Dr Sheerers home and seems to be doing well. She is a little overwhelmed because the deal is that she can live rent free in the house for 2 years in exchange for caring for Dr Sheerers Dogs. And sam is feeling the weight of having two living creatures dependent on her. It is weighing more heavly on her then she though it would. And this is the first time she has has a home or a place where she lives there all alone. So that is a bit different for her. But she seems to be doing well. Nothing really new with Dani, Sean or Andrew. All are doing really well. Were starting to hear from Jennifer and Loren a little more often and they seem to be doing ok. I dont hear from Billy at all but I kind of follow his life on his myspace page and from that he seems well enough.
