It was Ezra´s birthday too.
Dad and Mom with the three kings, 1/4/08
Dad and Mom with the three kings, 1/4/08Here are the pictures that were trapped in my camera until I received the driver that was lost during a technical adjustment or whatever.
We had a very festive Holiday season, and we ate way too much, as you may be able to detect we both put back several unwanted pounds, but we have the hot summer months to look forward to and literally thousands of doors to knock on. We are hoping to lose those Holiday pounds along with at least 20 more 8-). We love you all and would love to see some of your Christmas photos and or other interesting photos here on this blog. We would also love to see a photo or two of the newly weds shoveling poop together at their ranchero vaca , and the other newly weds new house, and speaking of new houses we would like to see at least one photo of The new Bush residence, other than the Real-estate listing.
Oh … I almost forgot this interesting cultural note. Mexican cuisine is noted for its picante quality or characteristics, Right? Well here’s one for the book. Two little known facts which I have just learned:
Ø Pepper is only used or available in the finest restaurants or by the rich people. Some Mexican people do not even know what it is or where it comes from, and yet the pepper tree is the most abundant and common tree around. If the poorest Mexican only knew that the little red berries on these trees was in fact pepper, they could harvest all the pepper they could ever want.
Ø Cinnamon candy is much too picante, for the average Mexican palate, they would much prefer fruit, candy and even watermelon and ice cream liberally sprinkled with chili powder.
Ø This has nothing to do about eating, but we just figured this one out on the way over here this morning. We have been noticing the last few days a lot of helium balloons for sale on the streets. They had pictures of the 3 Reyes de Mago. Then we saw some of these floating heavenward with notes attached. We asked and were told that the children send their list of desires to the 3 kings in this way, and they do it the day before they come.
Anyway enjoy the pictures. We love you all and miss you very much, but we know that every day when we wake up that we are where the Lord wants us to be. We love Mexico, the people we serve, the missionary experience, and the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. The church is true, and families can be forever.
With love from Mexico, Mom and Dad

Mom and Dad,
I guess I had not thougt about the Bushes house being new to you. I will try to get a few pictures and put them here. But Ive not been able to find my camera since we took Andrew to the MTC and it has a lot of important pictures on it to... There home is really nice. Its smaller than the home they moved from but not much. It may not be smaller it may just be configured differently.
Thanks for all of the pictures. Those look like some wonderful families and people. I am jealous. I would love to be there with you learning a language and learning all of the things that come with that and the mission.
Jess and Levi will be moving into their new place, I believe, this week. Levi said there are about 15 head on the place as of now.
Josie was baptized yesterday and it went really well. He birth mom and her birth moms family came down and I understand that they all had a really good visit.
Its really nice to see the email from Andrew. He is not much of a speller or typer but he is good to bet things sent out and its nice to see the things he sends to you guys. HE says the LDS mail does not have a spell checker. Is that right? PLease let me know if you would be interested in me putting his letters to us, here so that you can see them.
All seems to be well on the home front. Sean is having a bit of a hard time with his brother gone. They were really close and it is taking a toll on Sean. He misses having his brother to talk to. Dani and Sam are trying to come over a bit more but its still hard for sean.
Did you know that The Bushes got both a cat and a bird for Christmas? I dont know what they are try to pull off but its going to be interesting.
We got about 3 inches of snow this moring (Sunday 6 Jan). I think that is the most I have ever seen in a single storm since we have been here. Its been quite cold and wet for us here.
I love reading about Mexice. No matter how much you tell us its still interesting to know that your having thousands of experiences you cant even begin to rely to us. Same here I guess.Speaking of that. I bought new light fixtures for the tv room in our house and we removed the fans that use to be in those rooms. And we bought new couches and chairs for the house. This is the first time weve ever done that in 26 years, so Corinne is really excited. The should be delivered in the next two weeks.
No news on the work front. It was cool seeing you guys decorating the houses that we also decorated here. Ruthie is so great to us all of the time. She is wonderful. Even though she has a hard time seeing it in herself, she is.
Im getting a little soft, winter is just a couple of weeks old really and Im already looking forward to spring.
I will find the camera and send recent pictues.
Love Cordell
Thanks Cordell for all you do to make this blog worthwhile. We love seeing the family in action, and hearing all the news and comments, that may seem trivial to you but are very interesting to us.
We are completly cut off from the world we knew in the States. We don´t even know who is running for president or who is in The Superbowl, So I guess the blog i our link to the world. We would appreciate it if you could give us an update on the state of the world, but please no political opinions... Thank you very much!
Anyway thanks for all you do to keep us informed.
Love Dad
