Mom and Dad
This was fun. We have a small camera that is also a video camera. As soon as I learn how to download it I will put something here for you.
Corinne told me that you guys missed my family updates so I thought that I would put one up. When I didnt see you posting for a while I was under the impression that you didnt have access so I just waited.
We spoke with Andrew on mothers day. He seems to be doing really well. He is really happy on his mission and we are very proud of him.
My favorite part was that he and Sean got into a fight on the phone. No a fight really but just a sibling discussion. Andrew and Sean have a long standing physical challange with each other as to who is the toughest. Sean has been the winner but I guess Andrew has gained about 20 pounds in the last 6 months and he was feeling his oats and told Sean as much. Andrew apparently does physical training everyday as they are suppose to and he has gotten stronger. They were going on and on about who much one of the other could bench press and how far they could run. It was excellent for Sean. He really misses his brother and they really connected on that phone call.
Corinne Dani and Preston and I went to San Fran two weeks ago and had a great time. We stayed in a hotel in Castro Vally on Castro Valley Blvd right accross from that miniture gold course. It was very fun and Corinne really loved going back Home. We didnt get as far as Newark but we crawled all over San Fran and the much of the East bay and Castro Valley. It was great getting to know Preston a bit. He is a really great guy and the two of them are really good for each other.
We had a minor tragedy that resolved itself this week. I came home from work at about 7:30 and sat on the couch with Corinne for a few minutes and then I got up to go and see Gladys who had not come to see me. So I want outside and didnt see her so I called to Corinne and asked where Gladys was and Corinne said outside. A side gate had been left open and she had gotten out. Corinne was immediately as stressed out as I have ever seen her. So we started looking for Gladys. Sean drove all over, I went door to door and so did Corinne. By dark, around 9:30 we had not found her. So we went home and then to bed.
I told Corinne that Gladys was either hurt, captured or still on the loose. If she was hurt which I doubted we would have to see how it resolved itself, if she was captures we would call the pound or worst case someone would keep her. Then finally if she was still loose she would come home when she was done. Poor Corinne was as distraugh as I have ever seen her.
So we went to bed. At about 11:30 I got the clear impression to go and check to back door and there she was, sitting looking into the yard. I let her in and she was soaked to the bone. It was not raining but she was completely drenched. To bad we didnt have a doggie cam on her because she had an adventure of some kind. Sean, who was put in charge of glads was in bed and heard me talking with Gladys and he came down stairs and dried her off and had her sleep with him, which is a bid deal. He misses Andrew very bad and its hard for him to take care of Gladys because it makes him miss his brother. But I think the thought of having to tell Andrew that the dog was lost really hit Sean hard Now he is much better with Gladys.
So I want to bed and when I got in Corinne asked if everything was ok. I said "Yah, Gladys is back" and she sat bolt upright and yelled "Really" so I called Gladys and when Corinne saw her she was super happy. It was quite a day.
Monday, day before yesterday, we got a big pile of letters from you. It was really odd. The letters were dated from November and December and so much had transpired since the letters were written. For example: one of the letters asked if were were planning on taking Andrew to the MTC. It was just so interesting because its been over 6 months ago. And you mentioned how helpful it was that Billy had bought the car. So much time had passed it was fun. But there was also a lot of interesting stuff that we had not talked about. So it was interesting.
Gotta go for Now. More Later,
Cordell
Bill, parece que esta hablando espanol, no? Muy bien!
